Salary: £32,000 – £40,000

Job Role

Reporting to the CEO, the purpose of this role is to lead training delivery and business development with a specific focus on ethnicity.

Key responsibilities

The following are the key elements of the role:

Deliver training: deliver established high-quality training programmes – both face-to-face and remotely – to the company’s existing high standards

Develop EDI content: update and develop a range of EDI content to engage existing clients and new prospects

Business growth: contribute thought leadership to identify new business opportunities to enhance our service to clients

Consultancy services: provide specialist EDI expertise, advice, and solutions to Skills 4 clients.

The role is homebased with some requirements to travel, for example:

  • Team meetings or standardisation days at the Leeds office
  • Face to face training delivery (nationwide)

Most of the current training calendar is via remote delivery due to Covid-19; however, when face-to-face training is scheduled, you will be required to stay overnight locally if the training venue is more than 30 minutes commute from your home address.

Hours of work

The role is available as full time (37 hours p/week) or part time (21 hours p/week minimum)
Pre-approved flexible working within core hours is available

Compressed hours (Monday to Thursday) are available

Person specification

The successful applicant must:

  • Be passionate about making a difference and committed to promoting the benefits of diversity and inclusion
  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills, including experience of developing and delivering training which motivates and inspires change in others
  • Have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and be confident building rapport with a range of people from apprentices to senior executives
  • Have a flexible approach, as the role is varied you will need to be able to flex your style and think on your feet to meet the needs of different audiences.
