Who carries out the training?

If having mentors who have experience of working within STEM is important to you, then Skills 4 is the right choice. All our training is carried out by our mentors who all have extensive industry experience in STEM so they fully understand and appreciate the challenges raised by our delegates.

How long do your programmes run for?

EMPOWER is available as a three month and six-month programme. Months one, two and three include one full day’s training and the six-month version includes a final presentation and progress review at month six.

THRIVE is available as a three month and four-month programme, with one full day of training each month. The four-month version includes a module where each delegate brings along an ally to the training day, helping organisations to grow a pool of internal allies.

Both Unconscious Bias and Inclusion Allies are two and a half hour workshops.

Our Return to Work programme is delivered entirely online which should take around 7 hours to complete. The delegates choose when, where, and how often they undertake the modules, the programme also includes two hours of one-to-one support.

How do you deliver your training?

We offer several options:

  • Entirely remote over MS Teams
  • Blended approach with one day delivered face to face (we recommend the Confident Communication module for face to face)
  • Blended approach with masterclass modules and one-to-one support

Read our Online and Hybrid Diversity Training page for more information.

How big are your cohorts?

A typical cohort is between 12 and 15 delegates.

We have a dedicated learner support team who are there to answer any questions throughout the programme and support with Moodle.

All programme material and additional information is easily accessible online via an online platform Moodle.

We offer optional one-to-one support mentoring and coaching.

Our Return to Work programme is for parents planning to return to work following parental leave. It is also suitable for parents who are up to six months into their return to work.

I want to do one of your programmes, but my organisation doesn’t offer them. What are my options?

Please get in touch as we regularly run open programmes throughout the year.

What if I need additional support/reasonable adjustments?

Accessibility is a vital part of our programmes so if you have any queries then please get in touch with our Learner Support team.

What happens after programme completion?
