SNC-Lavalin Atkins announce new THRIVE Programme

ATKINS, a member of SNC-Lavalin are excited to have announced a new programme to support career progression for diverse talents.

As part of their ‘Different Makes a Difference’, their Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Strategy for the UK, they are launching a THRIVE: Positive Action Career Development Programme.

Why have they launched this programme?

Part of their ED&I strategy title ‘Remove barriers every step of the way’ aims to support the development and career progression of talent from diverse backgrounds within their business.

This new programme follows on from the successful framework behind INSPIRE, the award winning women’s development programme which has helped over 1,000 women to advance their career in SNC-Lavalin over the last 10 years.

Where does Skills 4 Training come into this?

The new THRIVE training programme will be delivered by our very own Skills 4 Training team. We have worked with SNC-Lavalin and Atkins on many training programmes before and this is the natural next step in order to help them fulfil their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy.

The new THRIVE pilot will run from June to December 2021.

“It’s important for us to create greater levels of sustainable inclusion within our business by addressing the social, organisational and psychological barriers that we know have the potential to restrict our colleagues from ethnic minority groups in progressing their career.
THRIVE is designed to bridge the gap between where applicants are in their career and where they need to be to progress into more senior roles. Our aspiration as a company is to drive our inclusion agenda forward by empowering applicants to develop their skills and abilities they need to grow to reach their full potential.”
