Skills 4 Newsletter June 2026

Welcome to our June Newsletter!

We’re launching two brand-new, on-demand programmes.

Unlike traditional e-learning, these facilitator-led sessions are grounded in real workplace scenarios, practical application, and evidence-based approaches that participants can immediately put into practice.

Psychologically Safe Teams

High-performing organisations are built on environments where people feel confident to contribute ideas, ask questions, challenge constructively, and bring their authentic selves to work.

Our new Psychological Safety & Allyship development sessions provide a flexible and engaging way to build awareness, confidence, and capability across your workforce.

Available in two versions:

Foundation (90 minutes) – ideal for all employees to build understanding and awareness.

Development (2 hours) – designed specifically for managers and people leaders to strengthen inclusive leadership capability and create psychologically safe teams.

Navigating Peri/Menopause

Peri/menopause can affect people in different ways. For some, the impact is minimal. For others, changes in energy, concentration, confidence, wellbeing or performance can create challenges both at work and at home.

This 5-module programme focuses on the confidence, communication and self-advocacy skills that help employees navigate this important life transition positively and proactively.

Updated Employment Rights – what to know.

Since February 2026, upgraded employment rights have begun to take effect.

These changes are being introduced gradually across 2026 and 2027, giving employers time to prepare and ensuring employees have clear information about their new rights.

Whether you’re an employer preparing for these changes or a worker wanting to understand your rights, you can view an overview here: Employment Rights Act 2025: overview factsheet

Employment Rights Act

The Employment Rights Act 2025 represents the most significant reform of UK employment law in decades and will reshape the relationship between employers and employees. Over the next two years, changes will introduce stronger workplace protections, expand employee rights and increase employer obligations and create tougher enforcement mechanisms.

While implementation is being phased between April 2026 and 2027, organisations should begin preparing now by reviewing their policies, contracts and management practices. The changes will affect everything from sickness absence and flexible working to redundancy, harassment, dismissal and workforce planning.

Menopause and the Gender Pay Gap

While employers with 250 or more employees are already required to publish their annual gender pay gap data, the focus is set to move beyond reporting and towards accountability. Action plans, which are currently voluntary, are expected to become mandatory from 2027.

These plans will require organisations to set out the practical steps they are taking to address their gender pay gap and a renewed focus on supporting employees experiencing menopause.

Email us on info@skills4uk.com to discuss our Navigating Peri/Menopause at Work programme, and how this can support these upcoming changes.
